Windnnor Bowl mercilessly to claim a decisive victory and more in the Cricket Roundup

A merciless bowling exhibition saw Vuvenor claim a 110-point victory against Sarisbury Athletic, while the Wight Island Cricket teams won key victories and suffered defeats this weekend.

Freshwater defended its total of 301 against Shanklin and Godshill, with Graham Gosden, A Bridges and Steve Holbrook making good scores, and Gary Freeston Top Scring for the West Wight team with 75.

The target of 171 Run was built with a patient 60 of the J Winterbottom and 74 of the Brown opener at six years old.

Northwood Bowler S Keates took four counters for 17 points.

The third XI of Ventnor won in a conclusive way when they played Wight Whizz for 83, with Jackson Parker taking three counters for 36 points.

Gary LEGG was the choice of the striking order for Ventnor, making 87 points while the team posted 195 in its 40 Overs.

The Newport Cricket Club won seven counters, chasing the total of the fourth XI of Ventnor of 94.

Ventnor has decisively won his mid -week match against Northwood, marking 184 with Mark Fletcher making 30 and Daniel Cox making 87.

Despite being lost, Martyn Richards and David Chapman both carried out 36 points for Northwood.
