Wales’ winger Louis Rees-Zammit said on Friday that he returned to Rugby Union after abandoning his attempt to enter the NFL.
Rees-Zammit spent last season with Jacksonville Jaguars having been cut by the Chiefs of Kansas City the previous campaign, but failed to make an appearance of the NFL for one or the other franchise as a wide receiver.

The 24 -year -old had initially crossed sports by joining the international NFL players’ journey program in 2024.
“It was a great experience, but it’s time to go home,” said Rees-Zammit on social networks.
“I decided that this is the best time to make this decision to give me time to put everything for next season,” he added.
The former speedster of the British and Irish lions did not reveal for which club he would play in the upcoming campaign.
The next Wales match in difficulty is against Argentina on November 9 when they have been having a first home test victory since August 2023.

“There is only one thing that concerns me, which comes back to rugby and does what I do best,” said Rees-Zammit.
“There will be more news to come soon,” he added.
The Welsh Rugby Union gave the announcement of Rees-Zammit an ironic response, publishing on social networks: “We hope you come back in time for the selection … But if you do not do” with a link to the ticket office website.
