The Première Courship race between Read and Farnworth Social Circle continues to vibrate the Anthony Axford North West Cricket League after the first loss on Saturday, but maintained the three -point head while the last won.
Read the top on 141 points of 16 games. They were beaten in Kearsley by 34 points. Social Circle is second out of 138. Like Read, they also won 12 of the 16. Their last came from 60 points to home on Little Liver.

Read’s fourth defeat occurred to a Kearsley team that benefits from an excellent campaign. They are third on 113 points, it is their ninth victory.
Mustafa Bashir was their star. He struck an average average order 87 steps on 73 bullets in the total of Kearsley at 45 to 215-9. In defense, he struck three times while Read was overthrown for 181. His partner Irfan Kareem’s new Ballon claimed five when Kearsley won the 12 points.
The hosts of Farnworth Social Circle beaten some lever warming up for the Hamer Cup final against Padiham 24 hours later.
Again, Jameel Stuart, Bajan professional, played with a superb 124 balls out of 81 balls in a total of 294-5 which was replied with 210-8 out of 39 Overs. Little raising had been set a revised objective of 271.

Salesbury, fifth (106 points, 16 games) beat Tonge by six home counters for the number eight victory.
The South African OA Connor Nel and Liam Parkinson shared nine counters, the first with five AS Tonge finished 185-9. Sub-Pro Akbar Ali then struck an undefeated 94 in a successful pursuit.
In the championship, the leaders Ribblesdale Wanderers underwent a home defeat against Mid-Table Walkden, whose seventh victory of 16 was carried out by 59 points.
Walkden (216 All Out) was liable to the Brisk 74 of the Indian OA Saqlain Haider before Ribblesdale, chasing a revised target from 203 in 39 Overs, was overthrown for 143. Imran Ali took the new ball and claimed five counters.

The opener Frankie Jackson was sensational for 181 undefeated of 127 bullets before Josh Dentith hit four times in the response 167-9 of Brinscall.
Barnoldswick went in third place out of 134 against 16, winning two games on Saturday and Sunday, including against the rivals of the Cherry Tree promotion in the latter.

On Saturday, Barnoldswick beat Baxenden (185 all) by seven housekeepers, to continue a revised target of 170 in 39 Overs.
The number 10 of the 16 victory was largely carried out on three counters each for Abdul Saddique and Captain Matt Cavanagh, then a 55 measured for the Australian pro Trent Riddell.
On Sunday, they beat Hosts Cherry Tree by seven counters in response to 163-9. Wasique Ali took three counters before Riddell played again with a similar patient 74.
Cherry Tree is fourth out of 132 out of 16. On Saturday, they won Oswaldtwistle Immanuel by 162 points at the rear of a total of 236-7.
Owen Elwood obtained a better score with 64, while the local mini Bhada professional had a good day with 62, then two counters in the 74 at the Oswaldtwistle. Mark Hadfield and Kurt Smithson hit three times each.

Astley Bridge is fifth on 125 points out of 16. They were winners at home against Earby by only 15 points by defending 256 for victory number 10. Their 255-5 was led by a 79 no OFF of 59 Sri Lankan Pro Dhanushka Dhamasiri Balls before he added two counters to Haaris Akhtar’s Four in Earby’s 215-9-9-9-9-9-9-9 Chasing Awed Awhtar of 231.
Back in the Premiership, six teams are fighting against the decline.
Atherton jumped from the last two and dragged the Blackrod Champions in the fight, guaranteeing a home victory against them by six counters for pursuing a revised target of 122 in 43 Overs. Atherton’s fifth victory in 16 was put in place by an excellent display with the ball and on the field, Bowling Blackrod for 122. Bajan Pro Shayne Moseley had an excellent day graceful of three counters with his sailors, then a 58 undefeated well at the pace opening the stick.
Atherton raised Farnworth, which was beaten by four counters in Eagley Bas. Captain James Richards took the new ball and claimed five counters to limit Farnworth to 196-9. In response, the opener Luca Doyle was scored with 50 and Richards added an average order 24.

Each of the three lower sides won five out of 16. Eagley is below 68, Farnworth then on 84, Atherton Sit 10th and a place outside the two lower on 86. Just above them are Blackrod (91), Tong (94) and informing Lostock (99).
Meanwhile, with Little rising winning the Hamer Cup on Sunday, they qualified for the KO competition of Lancashire 2026. If they keep fourth place in the first or end, fifth place would also be eligible.
