Donnarumma, which was excluded from the PSG team for the confrontation of UEFA Super Cup against Tottenham, seems ready to leave the Parc des Princes this summer after Lucas Chevalier was signed from Lille to replace it.

Enrique has since cited that he was looking for a different profile of goalkeeper, hence the decision to omit international Italy.
By taking in Instagram, Donnarumma wrote a message to PSG fans to try to explain the situation: “To special Paris fans, as soon as I arrived, I gave everything – on and off the field – to win my place and defend the objective of the Saint -Germain de Paris.
“Unfortunately, someone decided that I could no longer be part of the group and contribute to the success of the team. I am disappointed and discouraged.
“I hope to have the opportunity to look at the fans on the park of princes in the eyes once again and to say goodbye as it should be done.

“If it does not happen, I want you to know that your support and affection mean the world for me, and I will never forget it. I will always carry with me the memory of all the emotions, the magical nights and you, which made me feel at home.
“To my teammates – my second family – Thank you for each battle, every laugh, every moment that we shared. You will always be my brothers. Playing for this club and living in this city was a huge honor.
“Thank you, Paris.”

It remains to be seen if Donnarumma continues before closing the transfer window. As it is a season of the World Cup, he will have to play regularly to make the Italian team if they qualify for the tournament next summer.

The 26 -year -old was linked to a Premier League move because Manchester United and Man City would have expressed their interest.
According to reports, City has already contacted PSG to explore the conditions for a potential agreement because they could be on the market for a replacement with Ederson attracting the interest of Galatasaray.
