The former winger of Wales, Louis Rees-Zammit, says that he had the “incredible” interest on the part of the clubs following his decision to return to Rugby Union.
Rees-Zammit, 24, spent 18 months in the NFL with the Chiefs of Kansas City and the Jacksonville Jaguars, but did not appear for any franchise in a regular season match.

The old wing of Gloucester, which made 32 appearances for Wales and made a tour with the British and Irish lions in 2021, said that he hoped to rekindle his international career.
Rees-Zammit told Sky Sports News: “I can’t name teams, but I had a lot of interest, which is incredible. I am very grateful.
“The season begins very soon. It is therefore a question of finding the right team for me in terms of place, in terms of speed at which I have to enter the camp, and because the season is nearby, so all these things that will happen will happen quite clearly.
“Me and my brother have gone through negotiations and interested teams, which is incredible. We should discover it in next week. ”

Rees-Zammit left rugby in January 2024 in order to continue his dream of playing in the NFL via its international playing course program.
He signed an active agreement with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the 2025 season after being part of their training team for the previous campaign and went to London for the matches against the Chicago Bears and the New England Patriots in October.

Following his decision to return to the 15-year match, Rees-Zammit targeted a return for Wales, which he helped to triumph over their last triumph in 2021.
He added: “Playing for my country is the summit and it is the one I absolutely do.

“I managed to play 32 times for my country in three, four years. I need to find a team. Once we find a team, we put in good shape and, hopefully, will come the autumn internationals, see where the selection is.
“This is something that I really look forward to and I really want to play again for my country.”
Rees-Zammit’s ambition will be a welcome boost for the recently named head coach of Wales, Steve Tandy, who took over that only ended an 18-year-old sequence that lasted almost two years with a difficult victory over Japan last month.
